Bandits Win Crucial For Organization 03-16-14

Last Season the San Angelo Bandits went a dismal 1-11 and ended the 2013 season on a 9 game losing streak. What a difference a year makes. The Bandits matched last years win total last night with a 47-24 victory over the West Texas Wildcatters out of Odessa. The Bandits defense was lights out last night forcing SIX Wildcatters turnovers. Demitrius Quarles had three interceptions on his own. Former Angelo State Standout Austin Benson had an interception return for six and another touchdown rushing. Joe Brannen took over the coaching duties for the Bandits in September. Brannen spent last season in Abilene an brought several former bombers with him like last years LSFL defensive player of the year Jeremiah Turner, who knows how big last night win was to the organization.
