The San Angelo Bandits held a youth camp yesterday evening at Lake View Stadium. Around 20 youngsters were in attendance to brush up on their gridiron skills. Bandits players such as defensive end Desmond Raiford and offensive tackle Willie Bradley were on hand to help kids with pass rushing and pass blocking skills and concepts. Wide receiver Johnny Thomas was also there helping the young ones with speed and agility. The mood around the camp was light and exciting as the Bandits players had learned during the youth camp that they would be playing for the Lone Star Football League championship due to Rio Grande Valley Sol not meeting league requirement and obligations, so they were bounced out being replace by the Bandits and New Mexico Stars. Whether the Bandits are in a first round game, or championship setting, it all comes down to execution.
