The Nationally ranked Belles Softball team opened LSC play in Stephenville where they won two of three games against Tarleton State. While they scored 17 runs in one of the wins, it was the defense plays that the coaching staff says is the biggest positive from the series.

Katie Scott: "We had some great defensive plays that we executed well. Tina Cisneros threw an absolute perfect strike from right field to get the winning runner at the plate out. We also a line drive double play in the 8th or 9th inning to keep us in the game."
