ASU Baseball Team Ready to for Final Run

With nine games remaining on the year, the Rams want to finish the year just like they started it.
On the diamond the Angelo state baseball team is looking to regroup after a tough weekend in Stephenville. ASU was swept by Tarleton state.

The rams struggled in the first two games but their bats came alive in game three scoring three runs in the top of the ninth to take the lead but the Texans would win in the bottom of the inning in walk off fashion.

Despite the losses ASU still holds onto third place in the Lone Star Conference and has nine games remaining on their schedule to right the ship and finish the season the way the started it.

Head Coach Kevin Brooks said "as we've sort of said the last two, three, four weeks: we're ok, we're ok, we're ok and we are but at some point you've got to go do something about that and go win some games." He said, "it is one of those things our guys feel we are capable and I've been saying this all year feel like we are going to get on a roll at some point but we need to get on it here before it is too late."

ASU will play their final regular season series at home on Friday with a three game set against conference leader West Texas A&M and follow that series on the road against the number two team in the conference inTexas A&M Kingsville for three games and conclude the regular season in early May against Eastern New Mexico.
