Cowboys Thin at Linebacker 12-20-13

Mickey Spagnola talks about the state of the Dallas Cowboys linebackers as they head to Washington to face the Redskins.
The Dallas Cowboys defense is ranked dead last in the league. The unit has battled numerous injuries and some of the questions surrounding the team this week as they travel to play the Washington Redskins are, who will start at linebacker? Our Cowboys insider Mickey Spagnola has our analysis.

Mickey Spagnola: Who's the Will? Who's the Mike? Who's the Sam? Those are the biggest questions facing the Dallas Cowboys preparing for this Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins. Basically, who's playing linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday with all the injuries they suffered the last couple of weeks. The Cowboys are likely to be without middle linebacker Sean Lee. His backup Justin Durant who also started on the strong side, he's been placed on injured reserve and the guy who's played all three positions Ernie Sims not practicing today looks like he could miss the game so this is how the Cowboys look like they will line up against the Redskins. Bruce Carter has returned from his hamstring injury he's the Will guy, the weak side guy. On the strong side Kyle Wilbur continues to start and in the middle rookie Devonte Holloman who had missed six games and the bye week with a neck injury has gone back into the lineup and he will start at Mike for the first time and he knows he's better prepared this time than he was against the Green Bay Packers.

Devonte Holloman: Getting to see things as well as knowing where I'm going to be, you know it's going to help out a lot, I know what I'm looking for at this position, or what I'm looking for at that position, but still at the same time we've all got to know each other's position because we don't know what's going to happen.

Spagnola: Well we'll see how that turns out. For Silver Star Nation I'm Mickey Spagnola at the ranch."
