By: Marcus Officer

After escaping the gauntlet that was the month of September, the ASU Ram football team kicked off the month of October on a winning note.

The Rams rallied after being held out of the end zone last week, ASU dropped 48 points in their victory over the McMurry War Hawks snapping the teams three game losing streak.

Angelo State was again dominate in the running game, the team rushed for 307 yards and four touchdowns while the defense was disruptive on Saturday forcing three McMurry turnovers, returning one for a touchdown.

The Rams were outscored 28 to 14 in the second half but were able to withstand the hay makers by the War Hawks.

The team was excited about the victory but know there are some things that must get cleaned up before their homecoming game this week against Eastern New Mexico.
