A driver in a double-cab company pickup truck lost control after a blowout on Highway 87 North Tuesday afternoon.

It happened at about 12:30 in the 8800 block of Highway 87 just north of Grape Creek.

Tom Green County Sheriff's deputies say the driver was going north toward Sterling City. They say the driver veered to the left after the blowout, crossed both lanes of traffic and went through a fence.

The truck came to a stop when it collided with an abandoned trailer home on private property. Neither the driver or passenger appeared to be injured.

Grape Creek volunteer firefighters responded and workers with Concho Valley Electric Co-op repaired an electric pole.
