(East Rutherford, NJ) The Super Bowl is considered a national security event each year which means lots of resources go into protecting those in and around the stadium.

New Jersey State Police will deploy over 700 officers on the grounds at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

There will also be significant air patrol over the Meadowlands on Sunday.

Heavy security is part of EVERY Super Bowl, but especially this year given the proximity to New York City.

The undertaking is so big that Secretary of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson, is involved on a day to day basis.
