Jeff: "Week six puts two six-man division I heavyweights on the field slugging it out in non district action when the May Tigers host the Water Valley Wildcats. The two six-man powerhouses shared one common enemy in 2013 in division I state champions Crowell Wildcats. May found themselves sitting 14-0 going into Jerry's World last december before falling to Crowell 78-52 in the state title game. Many will tell you Water Valley had just as much right to face May last year for the state title as Crowell broke a 46-46 tie with 36 seconds left to play to push past the Wildcats 52-46 and claim the regional championship. You can count on seeing fireworks in October when Water Valley and May take to the field on Friday October 3rd. Water Valley at May, your week six match-up to watch."
A quick recap now of our match-ups to watch so far. Week one is Bronte at Robert Lee, then Cisco at Wall followed by Garden City at Sterling City and then our two games for September 19th at San Angelo Stadium, Blackwell traveling to Eden to take on the Bulldogs, and the match up you just saw.
