The College World Series is the crown jewel of the sport. Players from far and wide will be apart of the historic tournament, which begins on Saturday, and this year it will include one player from right here in San Angelo.

Former Central Bobcat pitcher Josh Sawyer will have a front-row seat for the festivities in Omaha. Sawyer is a freshman on the Texas Longhorns baseball team that is making its 35th trip to the College World Series. The 6'2 pitcher was a four-year letter winner at Central and was named the All West Texas Player of the Year in 2012, his senior season. When asked about his feelings on making the trip to Omaha this was his reaction.
