For the Christoval Cougars its there bye week after coming off of there week 7 win over Bronte 37-15. The cougars are getting ready for the Menard yellow jackets who are 4 and 3 and there season and 2 and 2 in district play. Even though the cougars seem to be the better team and early loss to the TLCA Eagles has made the coaches and players realize that no team should be taken for granted.
“Coming off 3-0 we expected a win and we went in thinking we were going to win and that’s the reason I think we lost,” says
“Like I told the kids after the game the best fighters or boxers in the world the greatest champions have been knocked out but its how they get back up that makes them a champion,” said Head coach Justin Taylor. “Sometimes loses are good and sometime you need to get hit on the chin and you cant take any opponent lightly.”
The Christoval Cougars come in at 6-1 overall and 3 and 1 in district play, one player that seems to be helping out the cougars this season is wide receiver
“Mitchell comes to work everyday, he's open minded as far as understanding the ways to run different routes and he understands to that sometimes he going to get double coverage,” added Taylor.
“I couldn’t do it without my offensive line my quarterback and my core of wide receivers,” added Lane. “If I didn’t have a line my quarterback I couldn’t get it to me and if I didn’t have my wide receivers to run good routes I wouldn’t be able to get open and catch those balls.”
“Its exciting I’ve been fortunate enough to coach some kids that have gone on to play at the college level and Mitchell is right there with him,” said
