This Friday the team heads to Texas Tech for there first exhibition game and to start there long journey in what has been changes not only to the coaching staff but to the team as well.
“Its a work in progress our team is a team that is still building but I have been proud of the guy that played here last year they are really buying into the new way to play,” said ASU Men’s Basketball Head Coach Chris Beard. “We are trying to mesh them with the new players so everyday is a new process for us.”
Senior Kenny Williams is one of the new nine players’ on the ball club and says the team knows it going to take some time for them to gel with so many new faces.
“There’s guys that got better chemistry than others but for the most part we are coming along. You know its just a process that we are going thru individually and as a team,” said Wiliams.
This Friday when the Rams travel to Texas Tech the coaching staff will be able to gage the teams talent going into the season, but according to Assistant Coach Cinco Boone expectations are already set high for the ASU ball club.
“Whenever we got this job coach Beard says this all the time, we want to win every game,” says Boone. “You know it maybe cliché everybody’s want to win every game but right now we want to win one game at a time and try and win each and every game and give every game our best effort.”
