Showers and thunderstorms moving across the area early this morning, pushing south along a weak cold front. Those storms could push lingering through the afternoon as that front slowly moves through. Expect to see the front around 1pm in San Angelo and across the I-10 corridor about 6pm. Cooler and drier air behind the front will keep afterrnoon highs only in the low to mid 80's. Cloud cover will also slowly dissabate possibly becoming sunny later today. Already this system has brough some moisture to the region. Sunday saw an additional 1.01" of rain to Mathis field, continueing the wet trend that finished the month of May. These storm still puts above average for June so far and above average for the year at nearly half an inch. Tomorrow expect to see drier conditions as temperatures slowly rebound back into the 90's by Wednesday. The forecast also looks to stay dry and conditions pick up reaching near 99 for Thursday. Friday could bring us a quick little cool down before temperatures rebound once more into the upper 90's for the weekend.
