KLST Fri. 04/11/14 Noon Weather

Another above average day in the Concho Valley as a ridge of high pressure continues to dominate. Luckily as that ridge starts to break down, we're not expecting as warm conditions as what we saw yesterday, along with lighter winds. Watch for the winds to drop and shift towards the southeast later today 5 to 10 miles per hour. Highs will top out near 93 degrees with mostly sunny skies. Now for the weekend, attention shifts towards the west as we watch low pressure off the coast of california, moving east. This will bring more cloud cover into the area and help to cool down highs back to the mid to upper 80's for both Saturday and Sunday. The cold front associated with the system will pass through late Sunday afternoon/early evening. The bad news along with the front will be a dry line pushing east. Depending on the timing of both features will determine who or who not sees any rain. Expecting most isolated thunderstorms to our east between 2 and 8pm. Much cooler on Monday thanks to the front only reaching the mid 60's. Overnight lows will also drop off to the 40's, a big contrast to what we've been seeing. By Tuesday, we're back in the 70's with possible 80's for next Thursday.
