They may not say they are the Cinderella story of the the ConchoValley high school football season but they are. The TLCA Eagles have achieved far and beyond what they have did in there previous five years of football existence, never one playoff game or district title until this year.
"Our goals were to get into the playoffs obviously but whenever you go six and four last year you feel like you have a chance and we had most of our players coming back. Winning them all you always hope to win them all, but if you don't you just rock on," said TLCA HEad football Coach Johnny Burleson.
Coach Burleson may say if you don't win them all to just rock on but with one team in the way of his team achieving a district tile outright he knows his squad will have to compete this Friday against Bronte.
"We're playing at there place and they still have a chance to get in the playoffs themselves so they are gonna play real hard. Obviously we want to win to go undefeated and to be the single District champion so our kids our motivated to so I think it will be a dog fight," added Burleson.
