Time to Shred the Ballots

It was a busy day at the Election Office on Thursday, as nearly 16,000 ballots were destroyed.

The ballots that were printed prior to changing the order of the ballot for the Primary Election have been shredded.

The Sheriff's Deputy had to observe the process as the ballot boxes were opened, and records management had the duty of destroying the ballots.

The election office had the choice of either storing the ballots for a year or destroying them, but due to lack of storage space...chose to shred them.
