UT Dallas Students Volunteer in San Angelo Over Spring Break

San Angelo - TX - A team of students from The University of Texas at Dallas will volunteer March 13-17 at Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue in San Angelo, Texas.

The organization is the nation’s leading donkey rescue organization. Our students will assist with caring for abused, neglected or abandoned donkeys, as well as perform basic grounds work such as habitat maintenance, construction, organization and cleanup.

The Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program at UT Dallas helps students develop leadership skills and learn about current social issues. About 100 students are participating this year.

Organized by our Office of Student Volunteerism, each trip is designed around a social issue such as affordable housing, sustainability and environmental conservation. Students prepare for their service projects by studying these issues in small groups for months and researching the services their agencies offer.
