Members of the Tom Green County Chapter of the Open Carry Texas Organization walked down Sherwood Way Saturday morning promoting their second amendment rights.
Over a dozen local members participated to inform the public about the Open Carry Law, which allows Texans to openly carry rifles and shotguns in a safe manner.
As members of the organization walked down Sherwood way for a couple hours, drivers acknowledged them by honking and some even pulled over to walk with the group.
The Lead Administrator of the Tom Green County Chapter says he hopes to educate the community and establish a cooperative relationship with local law enforcement.
The organization is made up of over 10,000 members throughout Texas. Local members plan to host an event each week in San Angelo.
