SAN ANGELO, Tx - In your top local stories with Kaitlin Moore, Texas DPS officials are investigating a fatal collision in Nolan County that claimed the life of a 62 year old San Angelo man.

It happened Wednesday morning just before 10 am on IH 20 just East of Sweetwater.

39 year-old Joseph Foster  was traveling east on IH 20 when his truck and trailer jackknifed, slid into the median between IH 20 and south service road, and struck 62 year old Jesus Vicente Enriquez of San Angelo in that median. 

Enriquez was pronounced dead at the scene. 

His body was taken to a funeral home in Sweetwater.

The crash is under investigation.


A man trapped under his pick up truck is rescued by paramedics and firefighters.

They arrived after the 911 call in the 800 block of Pulliam where a man was caught under the front left tire of a white pickup.

Investigators say they think the man may have been working on the truck in his driveway.

He was taken to Shannon Medical Center.

EMT's say he had broken ribs.

It unclear what other injuries he suffered.


Next week is finals week at Angelo State University which can become stressful for many students.

The Angelo State library is trying to help students de-stress.

The library has set up extra space and extended hours on Saturday and on finals week the basement and first floor will remain open 24 hours.    

There's a chill zone with tips on ways to reduce stress.

The group "friends of the library" provides  free coffee, drinks and snacks for students staying up late.

"We know that students are stressed. We know that they are going to be studying late. So we put in extra tables and chairs try to create more quiet study spaces. As well as more area for groups together and finish projects," said Maurice Fortin, the Executive Director Library Services.
