Salvation Army Spreads Holiday Spirit with Free Christmas Dinner

The local Salvation Army hosted a free Christmas dinner for residents in need on Christmas Eve. They expected to serve about 400 residents.

Coordinators say this is not only a great way to give back to those who are less fortunate, but that it is also a great way for volunteers to connect with these community members.

This event was funded with proceeds from the Red Kettle Campaign, which Salvation Army Major Tim Grider says could have seen more success.

Funding is always needed for events like these, so if you'd like to help out you can visit their headquarters at 215 Gillis Street in San Angelo, or you can visit their facebook page here.
