SAN ANGELO, TX - Lake View Senior, Ezequiel Reyes, 20, has passed away following a roll over crash earlier this week.
Dozens of friends and family members of Reyes gathered around the flag pole at Lake View High School, Thursday night, to pray.
The Lake View High School Senior was badly injured, Wednesday afternoon, while standing near the intersection of Koenigheim and W. 1st St. He was struck by a vehicle involved in a rollover accident. Medics transported Ezequiel to Shannon Medical Center with incapacitating injuries.
Friends have organized a seven on seven flag football tournament in his honor.
It will be held Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. on the Lake View turf field. Proceeds from the event with benefit Ezequiel's family.

San Angelo Police issued a press release stating:
Ezequiel Reyes, the 20-year-old San Angelo pedestrian struck in Wednesday evening’s two-vehicle rollover crash, has succumbed to his injuries.
A preliminary time of death for Reyes was pronounced at 7:50 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 by hospital staff. Official cause and time of death is pending by a Justice of the Peace.
Reyes was being treated at Shannon Medical Center for incapacitating injuries he sustained as the result of being struck by one of the vehicles involved in the crash that occurred around 5:00 p.m. on May 17 at 1st and Koenigheim Streets.
The Department is deeply saddened by this tragedy.
