Lubbock Man Charged with Stealing Vehicle After Hit-and-Run

SAN ANGELO, TX - A Lubbock man is charged with stealing a pickup and remains behind bars after he tried to flee the scene of a collision in Tom Green County Tuesday afternoon.

According to county law enforcement, 27-year-old Joshua Reading was driving a work truck belonging to contracting company when he was involved in an accident with another vehicle and tried to get away.

The victim in the hit-and-run reportedly began following reading at which point officials determined the pickup was in fact stolen.

Reading was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle. He is being held, without bond, in the Tom Green County Jail.
