Lincoln Middle School unveils the newest city sheep

Paid for by student fundraisers

SAN ANGELO, TX - SAISD has a new fiberglass sheep to show off.

The sheep is displayed in front of Lincoln Middle School. Friday morning they dedicated the new sheep named "A Brave Newe Maiden".

In 2017 students from the national junior honors society and the student council raised the money to by the sheep.

They want the sheep to be source of pride for students and faculty.

"I am so proud of our kids, they work hard year in and year out trying to show pride and trying to give back to the community," said student council representative Amy Lewallen. "This was something we were really proud of to show off to the community. They continue to do community service projects and give back to the community."

The sheep was painted by artist Amy Linderman.
