Jet engine catches fire at Seattle airport

Before take-off at taxiing, jet engine catches fire

San Angelo, TX - The jet engine of a Hawaii Airlines flight caught fire at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on Tuesday night, November 7. Video here from a witness shows flames sparking outward from the jet while it was taxiing. Airport officials said the flight was ferrying-in from Everett, Washington. Crew members were the only ones on board the aircraft. The pilot was able to safely land the plane and get everyone out. No one was injured. Hawaii Airilnes said it is investigating how the fire started.
