San Angelo, TX--Things are pretty good for the lake view maidens softball team as they are coming off a huge win against Hereford which puts them in a position to make the playoffs, something they fell short of last year.
Lake View Senior shortstop Amanda Ramage said, "I think it's a huge accomplishment because we're pretty much the same team we were last year and we're playing 100 times better this year."
Head Coach Sarah Davies added, "We came out against Hereford we were so fired up, we knew what we were going for and it was just another step to get us into the playoffs."
Friday's win brought the Maidens record to 6-2 in district, now the players feel like they're hitting their stride at just the right time.
"We've made huge progress and we've came together as a team and we're playing as one and we really trust each person beside us and we know we'll get the job done," Ramage explained.
Lake View will play on the road at Lubbock High on Tuesday .
