SAPD is investigating an hit and run involving a passenger early this morning. Around 8:30 AM officers say a truck side swiped a maroon vehicle while heading south on Knickerbocker Road. When stopped at a light one of the passengers got out attempting to get the truck drivers attention. That's when officers say the truck continued along the road dragging the woman approximately 500 feet before she fell off and the truck's trailer ran her over. She eventually fell off near Bentwood Drive and was taken to Community Hospital. Witnesses described the suspect's vehicle as a white or cream-colored pickup truck, towing a rust-colored trailer with a rust-colored tractor. The truck was last seen traveling southwest towards Lake Nasworthy.
If you have information about the suspect's location or identity, please call the Hit and Run Investigator, Steven Quade, at 325-657-4253 or call the SAPD's 24 hour Tip Hotline at 1-855-TIPS-247.
