A number of events, Saturday, encouraged our community to enjoy a day outdoors. Suddenlink hosted the first Concho Olympics at Bosque Park on the Concho River Downtown.

Saturday, the public participated in a variety of activities, and a six-tournament competition including disc golf, canoe racing, and tug-of-war.

All money raised during the all-day event, Saturday, benefits the Hospice of San Angelo. Over the past four years, Suddenlink has raised more then $72,000 to serve area families.

City officials including San Angelo Mayor Dwain Morrison, Fire Chief Ross Coleman and Police Chief Tim Vasquez attended the first Concho Olympics, Saturday. They participated in the dunking booth.
