san angelo, Texas - It's back to school and that means back to decreased speeds in school zones. Police Chief Tim Vasquez reminds drivers to watch out for kids crossing the streets. He adds that the police will be out in full force aggressively working the school zones, so be sure not to speed. AJ Turner with S.A.I.S.D. says that drivers need to not only look out at school zones, but also in neighborhoods and at bus pick ups. He says that kids sometimes don't realize that they wear dark clothing and that they're harder to see when it's dark out and they're going to their bus stop. Both Vasquez and Turner suggest that drivers add in some extra time into their normal morning routine to accommodate for the slowed speeds
