Layne Montez: " It's fun out here. We go in on Friday, expecting to win and we demand great excellence here. It's a great senior line, good sophomore and junior running backs and it's just going to be fun Friday night, I promise."
Josh Neri: " We have to work together. We have to know our assignments and we have to execute them because we have to protect the quarterback. With out our offensive line, no play can be executed. I mean, same with everything else, but offensive line first. We got to move down the field."
Rachel: " Eventhough the Hornets have not made the playoffs since 2004,their main focus is not on the past, but rather what the future holds for Irion County football."
David Waddell:" We got our eyes forward all the time. We're not looking backwards, we're not talking about the drought, we're not talking about things in the past."
Rachel: " This is Waddell's first season as head coach for the Hornets. He say's he's thrilled to be a part of this program and is very pleased with the community support."
Waddell: " I just feel like we've landed in a really good place. Lot's of good community support. The kids have been great to work with. We've had one-hundred percent participation through out two-a-days and the first few weeks, which was a big fear of mine coming into this program that maybe there would be a commitment problem but man, they have rallied up and that's probably the biggest thing. You can't fault our effort and we're working on our skills right now."
Rachel: " Rachel Turnock, KSAN San Angelo's Sports Channel."
