A Texas-sized ice storm forced the wall hawks to be caged from Saturday's state quarterfinal game against the Eastland Mavericks.
Now that most of the ice has melted, the Hawks are ready to spread their wings and fly one step closer to claiming a state title.
On Monday Wall and Eastland will finally play their quarterfinal round game. Both the hawks and Mavericks are anxious to get back on the field but they aren't anxious for what will be waiting for them.
Another cold front will hit the state on Monday causing game time temperatures to be below freezing and dip into the low 20's by the fourth quarter. Playing in the cold is not new for the Hawks.
They played on an ice-covered field several weeks ago when they defeated Idalou.
