Lake View falls in Final Home Game

Chiefs drop home finale to Lubbock Monterey 59 to 28.
By: Marcus Officer

The Lake View Chiefs hit the field at San Angelo Stadium tonight looking to win their first and final home game of the season.

They welcomed the Lubbock Monterey Plainsmen to town. With a win the Chiefs would break the tie for third place in District 4-4A and be one step closer to making the playoffs.

Things didn't go Lake View's way early on. After a 40 plus-yard run, the Plainsmen scored on their opening drive on a 13-yard touchdown run.

Lake View would fight back and take a 13 to 10 lead going into the second quarter but it would not get much better for the Chiefs.

The Plainsmen rushed for several more touchdowns and spoiled the Chiefs home finale, winning 59 to 28.
