It's been a while since the Bobcats played a football game, that's because this past Friday was their bye week. The team used the extra practice time to their advantage.

Jason Richards: "I think we really got better, had a chance to focus on some more technique and the mechanics of what we're doing offensively and I think we got a lot out of it."

Austin Bell: "We got an extra week preparing for a really strong team."

Randy Ward: "Cooper is very strong, they're sitting at 5 and 2 in the district and have secured their 7th consecutive playoff appearance. The defense the Cougars put on the field will be one that can be dangerous."

Richards: "They have a good scheme and have kids that have a lot of speed. When they do make mistakes they can make up for it by using their speed to recover."

Ward: "It may be the offense of Cooper that is provides the the biggest challenge. Quarterback Lorenzo Joe has already committed to play for the Texas Longhorns as a receiver, he's accounted for 26 touchdowns so far this year."

Brent Davis: "They've got a great offense, no doubt. Lorenzo Joe makes them go. If we're going to have any success we've got to stop him. He's a great runner and he throws the ball really well too."

Ward: "On one hand Friday's game could have district title implications, but on the bigger scale, it could have playoff seeding ramifications."

Davis: "Got a lot to play for because there is a good chance we might be division two and they're going to be division two so it's kind of a seeding game. We're excited about going to Abilene."
