Central Football Update 09-10-13

After two non-district football games, the Central Bobcats and Lubbock Coronado Mustangs are the only district 2-5A teams that are unbeaten. They'll play each other in the district opener on Friday in Lubbock. Central has picked up their two wins by outscoring the opposition as the Cats put up 71 and then 84 points in their two games. To be able to score that much, nearly everything has to go properly. You may be surprised to hear that offensive coordinator Kevin Crane feels like it's the offensive line that's been as big as anything in the fast start.

Kevin Crane: "First of all our offensive line has played great. Those guys are working great as a unit. Three seniors that played together last year and then our two juniors have stepped in really nice. They're doing a great job, we feel like it's the best offensive line we've had since we've been at Central."
